gta 4 windows 8 ..HELP!!!!

bought it installed everything just cant play it it will load ..i can sign into everything and it will load all screens until the loading screen right befor you begin playing but just keeps loading it forever and i cant close gta or anything just have to shut down..any help would be great

I would imagine there is. I've never used Win8, never plan to, but for old games that won't run on Win7, sometimes you can run them in compatability mode. Try right clicking the executable, go to properties and run in win7 compatability mode.
Thats just a guess man, I've only been playing GTA4 on pc for a few days so I don't know all the secrets. Thats what I would do though.

edit- Yeah... a quick google search showed you've got some work ahead of you lol. I forgot about all the windows live DRM crap that has to run with the game

i get it launch and it gets to the loading screen with all the characters in a loop with the music and just keeps going it will literally go non stop

Whats the specs of your PC? can you play other demanding games on?

so far ive been playing games like bioshock cs go and gta san andreas with absolutley no problems and i looked at the minum spec required to play on a website and i should be able to play it

I have a laptop with Windows 8. I had the same problem: GTA4 wouldn't start up. The solution is to uninstall Games for WIndows then reinstall it. That got the game to start up. You need to uninstall it, though. You can't just reinstall it with Games for Windows already on there. I tried that, didn't work.

my gta 4 stopped working cause of my mods then i try to reinstall it it says "the game is not ready yet it is in offline mod" even though I reinstalled it so many times and deleted everything about gta 4 from my computer i don't know what to do plese help..
