Can't fight

Niko can stand in combat pose, but he can't punch or kick. Does anybody had this kind of trouble? Can anyone help?

I went to jail (in the game, of course), and it has fixed.

You've got to equip your fists with the scroll wheel lol.

Pause Menu > Controls > Controller Option > Turn off Auto Aim
Pause Menu > Controls > Controller Option > Turn on Direct Input

im gonna try that cause on rdr2 places were locked and i did that and it all went back to normal.
i added melee mods so i thought something was wrong or update broke it but i put my backup files in and its still broken.
i remember this problem before but cant figure out what i did so maybe its just going to jail lol.

what does direct input mean in this case, is it keyboard and mouse things?
