GTA IV FATAL ERROR: DFA did not initialize properly. ERROR

So, I bought this game yesterday and everytime i try to play the main game (not the DLC) it will get to the menu, minmize, then will show this error: GTA 4 FATAL ERROR: DFA did not initialize properly. Please make sure you are using LaunchGTAIV.exe to laucn the game. I tried running it as admin, even did the patches. Nothing seems to work. If anyone has any advice or a fix i would really like the help.

There was only one way, that, for some odd reason fixes it. That is uninstalling it and wait for a period of time (for me like one or two months, but I did not try regularly) and install it. I have yet to understand why it did that (mostly from a lack of caring and not being into GTA that much).

The best explination i can give for the problem is that it might have to do with a bad download (if that is even possible).

Same here, i also brought the game yesterday, cant play on windows 10, the problem is in microsoft restrictable 2005, it shows an error then try to install the game

I mean why sell a game when its faulty STEAMS fault scaming for no reason. When I launch the game it shows the GTA loading screen of the rocktars terms and conditions then thats it nothing else.
