Game crashes on Tunnel Of Death and I can't progress through storyline!

I have tried the mission about 8 times everytime it crashes. It crashes about 1 to 5 mins after I get the phone call from ♥♥♥♥♥♥ McReary telling me to get the truck.
I really want to complete the game but I cant. Also I have not done Brucies mission No.1 where you have to complete a street race in first place. I'm going to try that and if that fixed it I will update this post.
EDIT:I completed Brucie's mission NO.1 and its still not working.

Processor - Intel i7-3610QM @2.30hz
8GB of ram (7.89 useable)
64 bit windows
NVIDIA Geforce GT 630M

Try lowering your graphical settings, at least temporarily, to give your rig a little more processing headroom before you attempt the mission again.
