After revisting the series in the last few years I will say that overall 4's driving, along with its insane physics, is still the best. So fun to crash, race, etc. GTAV feels like such a downgrade.
I really much like the driving, here as in mafia 2. It's not easy but once you get used to it it's awesome. GTA games always have the problem that cars feel the same maybe it's due to engine limitations. They still feel somhow good. And yes this includes GTA 5 for me aswell - and trust me I've been around that game since 360 times.
GTA 4 overall is the best in the series and that goes for driving and physics aswell(Story is the best anyway).
GTA5 significantly improves driving. What GTA4 have over 5 is vehicle damage and physics.
they have always been like this, i own the game on ps3, (only gets 30fps,) and they do it on there. - they also suffer from the unable to do flips error that is caused by this weight difference.
just the exact same as they do when playing on 144fps on my pc.
the people who claim this game can't handle higher fps than 60 don't know what they're talking about, i know there's literally thousands out there claiming it but i've literally proved the motorcycles just suck in general on my original game from ps3.
they're front heavy as all getout, the devs did this the same way they did with the cars, they put weight in the front of vehicles because of the way the vehicles were programmed and if they didn't do so, the cars would have been undriveable.
this is why cars tend to NOT brake that well, and is why leaning forward on a motorcycle makes it act like it's balancing on the front tire, because it is. - it's also the cause for bikes not being able to do legit flips and instead when you get to the halfway point the bike will just roll over because the heavy point pulls the front down when it gets too high.
higher than 60 , somewhere between 150-160-200 , idk it fluctuates so i can’t give you a specific number but i think mostly 170+
Cap to 60. Game has a physics engine based on a 30fps cap. Anything above 60 does weird stuff to your collisions.
