It took a few steps to get working for me
Had to launch it from desktop for the first time set up
Loading into the game took forever (could of been cause I used a SD card for the game.
Besides that the game run fine for me I'm playing tbogt and nothing went wrong yet
If you're up to it (and want some fantastic quality of life fixes to this rather crappy port) see yoootube and search for "Fixing GTA IV with 4 Mods". I did just that (minus the music restoration since it's a PITA to implement) and it all works great. If you do this you'll need to put the following into the games Steam Launch Options to get the mod loader to work:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
That'll get you done.
I’m playing GTA 3 Definitive Edition right now on Deck LCD at high settings and I’m struggling to hold 30fps
I use 2048x1152 resolution for both Steam Deck and external 120Hz LG C3 television for flatline frametime 40fps gaming. Default settings and some higher tweakings.
(AF16, View Distance 40, Detail Distance 80)
Windows performance unknown....
I just watched the video, I can’t believe the game is so inferior to ancient consoles.
Does mods disable achievements?
I would love a quicksave system!
I installed those mods. The difference is incredible. Thanks so much for drawing my attention to them!
