GTA IV benchmark crash
So, I haven't had many problems with GTA IV. Besides the minor bugs and graphics glitches that EVERYONE gets, and can be fixed by tabbing out and back into the game.

There's one problem I'm getting that is terrible. I don't expect someone to be able to tell me how or why it happens and how to fix it. I'm just asking you to tell me if you know.

Everytime I run the Benchmark test, at the very end, when the results should come up, my game crashes. I don't know why.

Please feel free to post here if you know what's happening here and how to fix it.

As of 12/30/13 my specs are:
CPU: i5-4670
GPU: R9 280x Gigabyte Windforce Rev2
RAM: Super Talent 1333MHz 8GB CL9. 2x4GB
MOBO: MSI H81M-P33

Thank you.

The benchmark test isnt even remotely accurate to real gameplay.

That's irrelevant to this post. I want to run the benchmark, and I can't.

I'm getting the exact same problem, trying to fix it has caused even more headaches, I tried to run it in compatibility mode and it just made it worse (the benchmarks would run but with no people. just ghost vehicles lol).

First, use Steam to verify the integrity of your game cache. Google is your friend.

I've googled this problem, no results. How about you try googling it as well before telling someone else to google.

Did you verify the integrity of the game cache?

Has someone found the fix for this issue? I also have it and the game has just been re-installed.
