BraveHeart = Mel Gibson turns out to be an A-Hole... Dead Pool = A cool and funny A-Hole... which one are you?
just that this would get killed by microsoft wasn't thier fault, microsoft was incompatible to fix leaks in it's system when the starforce/securom driver got installed so they thought we can make it someone elses problem and just killed the way this driver could get installed.
social club can't change ♥♥♥♥ about this, nor can it change this security system since that means they had to rewrite the whole system of the game around it.
they gave a solution by patch 1.0.7.0 wich makes offline play without securom possible however wich is cracking thier own system, so they already did something about it as far as possible.
let's be honest: who ever uses the miltiplayer here? or the social tv for those are the only 2 features you'll loose when play (offline).
if you want a game to run on windows of today and the pc's of today, don't buy a game that's 10 years old!
Niether, He's the whole-a$s...
You must be new to PC gaming, plus gog's success is directly due to featuring classics that are quite older than ten years...
talking about it: using dosbox makes it pretty easy to break in to a PC.
an emulator or virtual machine can get you to the point a game runs (not really as it should but it runs). try toonstruck this verygame is impossible to win in dosbox, but gog is deaf for the problem of timing is buggy. most of gog's games seem to run... but you can't complete them because they use faulty emulators.
Yes I use console emulators and dosbox games as well, and I would be a fool if I didn't admit that old games weren't sometimes a major hassle to get it up-and running, however, GTA 4 is not that different in tech with today's systems, as it is still compatible enough to be installed on the system without the need for special third party emulators...
It has been said that programing for the PC is infinity more difficult than the console due to the latter's fixed architecture and format, as the PC has thousands of untold configurations to account for many incompatibilities, add to that the DRM integrated into the software, and the sudden change in the DRM scheme, yeah, I'm surprised the game lasted as long as it had.
However, on my end the game was running great until their last patch, and thanks to this thread I've learned why it no longer works, unfortunately, my system most likely has a hidden driver and/or config that is in direct conflict somewhere, so I un-installed it anyways as the game is not worth the hassle to do days of research in order to fix it.
okay, in your case: have you ever used a SCSI drive (an external drive with a really big connector) or have you ever installed starforc? maybe a drive emulator? thosedrivers are sometimes hidden good but make conflicts.
AMD FX 8350
Sapphire R9 290x
Kingston 24 gb (Only 16 via Win 7 HP)
I'm also guessing that the patch has been configured for win 10 compatibility as well as 7/8 which opens an entirely new can of worms!
look in the tree for network devices, cd/dvd-drivers, unknown drivers, unnamed drivers, SCSI drivers and software drivers/solutions. if there are names you don't know please report them back.
Yep other than falling under the same category as Pirate fighting tools, they aren't
Heh, well what do you know, DTSoft is still hanging around, the other one is one that came with my PC ATAPI 1HAS324, an SATA device...
My network adapters are Realtek PCIe/USB GBE followed by TAP-Windows adapter V9+V9#2
i never heard of adn, but start with play offline, goto options, graphics to check what hardware is detected by the game (this is mostly buggin people).
if it's lower than 32 mb's detected you've got shared ram graphics card and need the set parameter for the game to be something like: "–availablevidmem 19.0" (without the ") the number could be different for your system, but should result in a near 2 gb detection max.
if it detects 2.5 gb or more you should use: "-nomemrestrict -norestrictions" (without the ").
if it won't load the sociolclub loginscreen check if you've got the latest legal version without modifications, and verify all files (since this defenetly means it's not fully installed or your hdd has a blind spot, a damaged fragment.
As the term Mota?
