Playing with Controller?
I have the logitech controller, i tried playing GTA 4 with it, but it wasnt working. I see that it is partial controller support. How do I make my logitech controller work with GTA 4, or am i going to have to buy a Xbox/PS controller?

Did you try enabling directinput in controller options?

if it dont works buy a xbox controller and download the drivers . ( i had the same problem like you) if you have a original xbox controller the games automaticly find it as controller . ( i have an xbox one controller )

Well, there's directinput and then there's the newer xinput. The directinput switch is for compatibility, it would seem. Doesn't actually enable gamepads in game.

As for which controller to get, I read xbox one only just recently got windows drivers and they are not that great, with some games not working.

After work, i tried to enabling direct input under controller option, had no problem finding it. But the controller still doesnt work. I guess i am just going to have to grab a 360 controller on payday?

Umm... might it need drivers? Is it an old one? What OS?

360's were going cheap over the holidays, they are selling them out, I reckon.

It's a shame that the xbox one controller only works through USB on the pc. No wireless, yet.

what does partial controller support mean? no details on what works and what doesn't. i intend to use the recent Xbox One S controller over Steam Link (Apple TV), so i better just bring out my PS3 that has full controller support?

try playing through big screen mode and use valves controller stuff. I've always used a PS3 (and now a PS4) controller though.
