Edit: Maybe even more if u park it parallel. (not tested)
The max is 2 (at least up to v1.0.7.0) per safehouse parking spot. But you can save up to 4 during a continuous game. Only 2 save on a load though, so best to make sure only 2 are remaining before leaving, or the game will just remove the surplus ones.
That is just 10 spots in the whole map.
Edit: I found that i dont need to reload the save btw, I can reload the script from the command to make it work properly again. Still, any tips are welcome.
And btw, why do u even need so many cars parked? Doesn't matter anyway.
I can't remember, but I think Simple Native Trainer had multiple slots for saved vehicles.
Is this for v1.0.7.0? Because this only used to work for me during a continuous game, until I would reload the save. As long as less than half of the vehicle was out of the spot, I could travel to the other side of the map and the vehicles would still be there.
I tested this like 5-7 years ago with cars, and also motorcycles.
I have not tried SNT out, it was promising when I saw it had a save car option, however it looked like it only contained 1 (or 4?) slots so i didnt try it out. More akin to a personal vehicle rather than a garage. I could test it out after all.
And for the why, I find that i run out of parking spaces very quickly. Keep a couple of unique cars, a few more common ones like Comet, Infernus, Sabre GT and Banshee in a nice colour, add maybe a SWAT van and it is already easily up to the limit if you also need to leave some space for 'ditchable' cars that are still decent to drive. Also i find it fun to collect them.
The limited saving space for vehicles has always been part of the GTA series, which was fine, but in IV i find the balance between space vs. what I'd like to have in my garage much more challenging compared to the older versions.
I will test this again then in the coming days. Thanks!
