WTF GTA IV

I recently bought GTA IV and it willnot let me play it. The game shows me the SocialClub login screen, but even after i login, the game wont launch. I am currently running Windows 8 and my computer meets all the recommended stats. Please Help.

well as for me i am on windows 7 64bit tried installing games for windows marketplace app
and still the social club opens after logging in its close and nothing happen

yyup mine too i just bought and my pc already had games for windows live but after login screen nothing happens even offline

For all of you who encounter this problem try this.
1.Get windows live games/market from mircosoft.
2.Right click Gtaiv.exe and make it run compality windows 7

Same problem here with windows 7 64bit. I succesfully log in in social club, and then nothing, game wont start. What to do? :/

if you're planning to play gta IV offline.. i suggest downloading 'xliveless'. extract it in your gta IV folder and click 'Launch GTA IV'. it worked for me. Good Luck.!!

FOUND HOW TO FIX IT!
GTAIV.EXE > OPTIONS > COMPABILITY > WINVISTA SP2

no wonder it works on my vista pc and not my win7! :D

if you can not play on the internet in gta 4
then does what I tell you, book now
going to the library has then right click on gta 4
then on actual properties then local files
And then the most important games files Check for errors

and taaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaa you can play online a friend shows me that and i was happy that i can play online :)

Lol not as worse as my experience with my first time playing it.. i bought a fresh digital copy on steam, installed it and crap for windows live told me that my cd key is invalid for both gta4+eflc.. had to contact rockstar then gfwl and had to wait over 4 days for an answer.

I put the disc into my PlayStation and it works fine, Must be your computer.
