Help, I think I destroyed my gta4 with modding. (Read please.)
So. I downloaded mods. Played great stuff. Zombies. Carmageddon. Ect. Next thing I know, after installing a texture mod, I want to go back to vanilla GTA4. Suddenly, I DELETE SOMETHING IMPORTANT in my GTA. Gta4 won't start, says something like "Seculaunch2000" Error, or something. So, I try doing what anyone would do. Reinstall the game. Funny thing is, GTA4 won't reinstall good-as-new. It reinstalls WITH the missing folders. WITHOUT the others. What is wrong with steam? Anyway, after un-and-re-installing gta4 about 5 times, I've given up.

Someone help. Please. I just wanna go bowling with Roman.

The first rule of modding DONT DESTROY UR GAME WITH MODS. i think when the only solution is unistalling the game

no u can right click on your game on steam properties files vertify game cache way faster then uninstalling (estimated time 10 min)

delate all game files by hand but leave the emtpy GTA IV folder, then uninstall the game though steam which will deleat the folder and reinstall which will give you a new set of files.

Wrong if you just verify cache it will leave what you added. if you empty floder and reinstall that may work but your best bet is to uninstall all GTA 4 files and start new. Always make a copy of your working GTA 4 in another folder, that way if you fail you just use your back up, Modding 101 really

Eh.. I'll try. Or maybe I'll just leave gta4 all togethor and move on to Gta5 Pc.
But... gta5 is far worse than 4... you cannot..must not leave niko behind.

I actually agree with you... I love the Gta4 gameplay and story, as it's much more interesting and more realistic than gtaV. I mean, just look at the fist-fighting mechanics? Gta4 combat is much better than 5.

Well. Too bad my gta4 is destroyed. gonna have to move on :/
Aww to bad man. Niko will miss you:)
