GTA IV keeps crashing since October 2024 update (SOLVED)

I don't know if I'm the only one, but there was an update today and since that one, the game keeps crashing back to desktop at random intervals. I manage to complete maybe one or two missions before the game crash.

I had experienced zero crash before this update (I played yesterday until 9PM). What changed ?

Clean re-install and re-installed Fusion Fix. Everything back to normal.

same here. Why they keep updating the game, crashing all the community mods that improve the game and experience?

they don't update the game only the rockstar launcher unless you downgrade the game the updates wont break anything maybe verify game files if you haven't already

do you have fusion fix and dxvk installed?

Have fusion fix, dxvk, various fixes, Console Visuals and both Ash HD Mods. I had to reinstall vcredist and remove Ash Miscellaneous one, because i was having crashes on Jacob last package delivery and while doing some races for Bruce in Broker. Removing the mod fixed Broker crash and vcredist fixed Jacobs mission (that had error prompt, not just crash).

I wish R* would stop ruining the game while I'm trying to play it this is like the 8th time this has happened to me in just the last couple years. I only just reinstalled IV this week and boom instantly they did this again. Getting really, REALLY sick of it.

its never been broken by a launcher update for me

It had never crashed for me and I've been updating it and playing it almost every day for the past 2 weeks.
