How do I play Episodes from Liberty City?
I just downloaded the GTA IV Complete Edition, because I wanted to play the two DLCs in Episodes from Liberty City. But the game does not give me any option to play the DLCs, only the main game? How do I actually play the DLC content?

If so you have to pause and go to game in there is a skip menu setting make sure that is set to off. You could also just start a new game from the pause menu and it lets you choose which dlc you want to play from there.

How do you launch the game? It should take you to a screen, where you see Niko and choose him (or the area bellow him) where it says "Play GTA IV" and on the right side there should be the Episodes with similar options to choose the protagonists, or the area bellow them. If you don't see that screen, then you launch the game wrong, possibly through the wrong executable either linked somehow to Steam, or clicked directly? Hitting "Launch" on Steam should bring up R* launcher and that screen to choose from.

Thanks! I am launching through Steam, and I don't see this screen.

That's weird. So for some reason your Steam is linked to the executable, that directly launches the main game. Try this "fix" (well I call it fix, because I don't know what to call it instead):
Go to your game's installation (right click GTA IV, then select properties and go to files, it should take you to where Steam installed game) from there you should see 3 executables, ignore the first two and focus on the last one near the bottom, it should read "Play GTAIV". Launch it, that's the R* Launcher possibly, and it should take you to that screen with the choice. If that executable isn't there, then something's fishy and you've probably downloaded a different version, that doesn't contain the EfLC expansions. I hope that's not the case.

I do have Fusion Fix installed. Is that causing problems?

I did try to lo launch the game directly using the executables, but that doesn't make a difference.

it shouldn't be but when you load the game does it put straight into GTA IV do you not get the start menu?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Correct. When I first launched the game it didn't give me a start menu but automatically created a new game for me.

I looked all over the menus and couldn't find any new game option, but I'll go over it again more carefully and see what I can find. I'll also check for the skip menu setting.

I am traveling this week, but will try it once I am back this weekend.

Thank you for all your help!

when in pause or the map view in game. go to last option where youd quit save load etc.

Then choose a New Game and there should be 3 options TLAd TBOGT and IV

If not quit andn in steam library right click GTAIV and go to"properties" and game files then verify game cache!

Thanks! This fixed it! For some reason skip menu was enabled by default. Once I disable it I can pick the DLC when I start the game. Also, starting a new game from the "Game" tab in the Pause menu also gives me the option to pick the DLC.
