Poor performance (Downgraded version of game)
I'm not sure if the newer Rockstar Launcher version of the game is any different when it comes to optimization but I downgraded my game for various reasons.
I can't seem to get the game running past 2GB of Video Memory, altering my commandline file doesn't seem to do anything. It seems like the game can't detect my GPU at all, and the game is locked at 30fps or lower. Are there any workarounds to this or must I be forced to run the game at a measly 25-30fps?
All I simply did was downgrade the game and put in the recommended commandline info. No mods are installed at all besides a Radio restore and Steam Achievements enabler (which were already part of the downgrader).

Heres what I have on my commandline file
-norestrictions
-nomemrestrict
-availablevidmem 20.0
-fullscreen

System Specs
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
Intel Core i9-9900k
48GB 3600MHz Ram

The commandline seems to be same as mine, I just bumped mine up to 40.0 to get more video memory
What about running the game at 60fps? My game seems to be still locked at 30fps, does this game have the same physics problems the trilogy does?

I cant even get the game to run... if you lads have any tips to help id appreciate it. Sometimes I boot it and nothing happens at all. Other times it starts booting via rockstar launcher but then it gives me an error and thats it :(

So from what I see the benchmark in this game is completely unreliable and false
The benchmark is locked at 30fps regardless when I was testing if the performance would alter if I ran the game at low settings
Cutscenes are locked at 60fps and the gameplay for me was at 400+fps at 4K

As for this, just reinstall the game entirely. I had the same issue when I first downgraded, it was something to do with the the .dll files you add in after you downgrade it. Make sure to test the game immediately before you install extra stuff in.

Just incase if you manage to get the game running, make sure to backup the files if you end up accidentally breaking the game. Makes it easier to fix the game if you do, and you don't have to completely redownload the game.

FYI man I think I finally fixed it by deleting all the vanilla files (apart from the folders) in the GTAIV folder and then adding all the downgrade files.... Game finally booted!!!
