In case you cannot finish the LAST MISSION

The final mission is stupidly bugged. Here's how to fix it:
Plug in a Xbox controller (PS4 did not work for me, even though I played the entire game with one)
When you go to the roof, limit your fps to 60. If your game runs above 60 FPS, Jacob will crash the helicopter, or do other stupid s***.
When you're climbing the helicopter, absolutely HAMMER spacebar and A on your controller.

The rest is straightforward. Shoot down Dimitri, hope for the best, kill him, the end.

There is some RNG, you can get hit with a rocket while climbing the boat, or climbing the helicopter. It took me 5 tries.

The fact that the final mission is so incredibly bugged, forcing PC players to use a controller, limiting your fps, is really a shame. But I guess Rockstar doesn't give a s*** because only 6% of players even finished the game.

I can confirm that smashing both A on the XB controller and spacebar works.. Damn this bug sucks.. redoing the mission 3 times and failing the climb onboard the chopper

Fair point, doesn't change the fact that Rockstar COULD care a little bit more about their playerbase, as I imagine a lot of people will play GTA 4 for the first time, now that GTA 6 is on its way. They had 16 years to fix this game and they didn't.

The only problem I had with the last mission, not counting the FPS issue the entire game, is the bad helicopter controls. Maybe the controller makes it easier, althought Im not holding my breath.

I am struggling with the helicopter part of the last mission. And I can't see the controllers controls on the setting menu... Anyone can help? I have M+K as well as a PC 360 controller. It is driving me nuts.

Try smashing A on your 360 Controller and Spacebar on your keyboard at the same time, worked for me.
