Car handling problem in GTA 4 cars [Steam Version v1.0.7.0]
Hi folks,
After installation of GTA 4 through Steam, i realized that the handling (grip) of almost all the cars is just a disaster and completely awful when compared to previous GTA series like GTA SA, GTA 3...

Cars are going crazy during the drive and steering is sluggish and completely instable. It may be called "realistic" but it's not what i want.

I read a lot mod stories on the net, but none of them worked for Steam version using latest GTA 4 which is 1.0.7.0.

Is there any solution for making cars handling just like GTA SA or GTA 3?

There's a GTAIV Handling Editor on GTAForums. If you want to get it just how you like it, then that might be your best bet... I suspect there's going to be a lot of work involved though.

This is just the way the game is made. You might be able to get the cars to loosen up a bit by capping the framerate to 60 (assuming you can get it that high).

It's for GTA 5, not GTA 4.

Read the link, it's GTA V's handling but transferred into GTA IV.

yep, it tries to simulate the gtav's handling by applying force to the vehicle.

Oh, i see now. Thanks. However, the mods i've read before were using Handling.dat + Filelist.pak, and i do not know what scripting is used in so-called "V-Handling". And on installation notes, it says dsound.dll and scripthook.dll files are needed, aren't they included on system already? It's a bit mess for me to deal 3rd party files without just editing existing ones.
