Unable to start the game

Hello everyone,

Can anyone help me? I bought GTA IV yesterday but I am unable to start the game because while installing the social club, instalation gets stuck while installing Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributables. Any ideas on what might be the problem?
I'm using Windows 10

uninstall c++ 2015-2019 on the control panel and verify the file integrity in the game properties, maybe that helps :)

I just did that but still no luck. I am unable to install rockstar game launcher, it freezes while trying to install visual c++ even tho I manually installed it. I tried launching it as admin, allowing it on firewall and anti vírus, cleared mais temp files and registry with CCleaner nothing works... I verified game cache integrity on Steam, 6 files were reaquired but still doesn't get passes the rockstar game launcher instalation.

try this that I saw it on the r* page

Uninstall the Rockstar Games Launcher

Close any Rockstar Games titles that are running
Navigate to the Rockstar Games Launcher installation folder
Default: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher
Double-click the uninstall.exe program and uninstall the Rockstar Games Launcher
Leave uninstall the game data unchecked
Remove any remaining Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club files

Once the uninstaller has completed, delete all of the following folders:
Note: Do not delete any other folders or files as you may lose game data.
C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club
C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Launcher
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club
C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club
Reinstall the Rockstar Games Launcher

Download the Rockstar Games Launcher from the Social Club website:
https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/rockstar-games-launcher
Double-click the Rockstar Games Launcher icon to begin installing
Select your preferred language and click CONTINUE
Click CONTINUE at the Welcome screen
Check I accept the terms of the License Agreement box and click CONTINUE
Choose an install location and click CONTINUE
When installation is complete, click CLOSE

I did that too, every folder from rocktstar social club and launcher deleted and uninstalled but it always freeze when installing visual c++. I even uninstalled visual c++ 2015-2019 but nothing works :S

well you can bypass the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher by downgrading the game too if you want...
with a dowgraded game you can put mods, play multiplayer, listen to the old radio and a performance boost installing mods like dxvk

i think you can enable steam achivievements too using the downgrader

I don't really care for achievements, I just wanna replay this great game and have some fun xD

If you haven't already, try restarting your computer. Run as administrator the first time you launch social club and GTAIV.
