How did you even get the downgrader to work

1650 16gb ram i7 10th gen, works at around 200 fps I do not know what might cause the issue to lag your game but I do not have it

u put the d3d9.dll in the gtaiv right?

you must create a CFG file and set these 2 parameters dxgi.maxFrameLatency = 1
d3d9.maxFrameLatency = 1
and then there will be a stable FPS, the best version of dxvk for Gta 4 is 2.0 or 2.1 or 2.2, all other patches are not suitable

In the archive, from the x32 folders we take out 2 files:
dxgi.dll
d3d9.dll

I have an i5 3470 and 980ti with 16 GB of ddr3 RAM and in 4K the game produces stable 60-80 FPS with DXVK, without DXVK I even got 40-15 FPS in 1080p regardless of the settings, and with DXVK I play in 4K at the highest settings

it's probably because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port not handling newer CPU's or GPU's

I haven't played since march and the new rockstar launcher/social club update has made performance much worse on my pc and steam deck. It's never been this bad. gonna have to try out dxvk thanks for the tips

What about anisotropic filtering? from what I know, when using DXVK, the setting defaults to off and may need its own parameter added, generally speaking. Perhaps it depends per game.

Also, does the CFG file need to be named "dxgi" or it doesn't matter?

Thank you in advance.
Through the Nvidia panel you can enable texture filtering yourself and it will work
