Is downgrading still recommended?
Is there much of a reason to still downgrade the game? Especially when I want to use fixes like FusionFix, and radio restoration, and all that good stuff.

If downgrading is still recommended, what version do people recommend? I think before I usually downgraded to 1.0.7.0 or something like that.

If all you want is something like Fusion Fix, Radio Downgrader, Various Fixes, the Fixed Shaders, etc, then these have been updated to run on CE. Though if you want any more in depth modding, then downgrading is still advised and most people settle on 1.0.8.0 these days.

I do remember recently I tried to downgrade the game and for some reason I couldn't save, both manual and auto. So I was stuck starting a new game every time I booted it up. Could never figure out why. But it's possible I also borked something in some way.

If you have Complete Edition and downgrade the game you will loose the DLCs TLAD and TboGT, keep that in mind. If you have enough disk space, just make a copy of all original gamefiles and downgrade that.

That depends on the version you downgrade to. 1.0.4.0 is the one that doesn't have the dlcs but 1.0.7.0 and 1.0.8.0 has the dlcs.

That can`t be true. Because when i downgrade my GTA IV Complete Edition from Steam down to 1.0.8.0 i loose the DLC`s and i use GTA IV Downgrader tool to do so.

once you downgrade you have to add the DLC's back because your downgrading to an incomplete edition

Before downgrade select option to enable DLC content, after downgrade open 'GTAIV' folder and make a new folder named 'DLC'. inside that folder make two more folders named 'TBoGT' and 'TLAD'. Inside both folders make a folder named 'content' and copy everything inside your steam TBoGT folder to DLC\TBoGT\content' and TLAD to DLC\TLAD\content.

Just to ask, what downgrader do you have in mind? I never seen "enable DLC" option in the downgrader that i`ve been using.
