GTA IV Product activation key issue

Hi,

I recently came across an issue that prevented me from playing the game. Now, when I was playing GTA IV the other day, I tried saving my game, but couldn't because I needed to log into my Games for Windows Live account, so I was like "Okay, not a problem" waited a couple of minutes, and then when I logged in, it asked me for a product key. And I was already used to this because it was the same when I first bought GTA V, but to my surprise when I right-clicked on the game and went to Manage, there was no button that said "CD Keys" and now I'm left confused.

I contacted both, Rockstar and Steam support with they both said the same thing "We cannot assist you here at Rockstar Games please try this instead: {link to Steam Support}"

The reason why I'm so pissed off about this as well is that this is preventing me from playing the game. I could always downgrade, but then I wouldn't have access to some key features in the game.

Any help would be appreciated.

Games for Windows was patched out years ago. It is the Rockstar launcher only.

To request your product key from Steam support: go to Account details -> View purchase history -> Select a purchase containing GTA 4 -> I have a question about this purchase -> Write that previously the GFWL "Digital Product Key" was displayed, but after a number of updates it disappeared.
