Cars not saving at parking slots

After loading up the save file (manual or auto save), all cars parked on yellow parking slots are gone.

It's the correct save file. No one is carjacking my cars. Tested multiple times with different vehicles.

I'm seeing older posts with similar problems. Found one guy with a solution (creating a new save game file every time) but not worked for me.

Anyone having the same problem here?

I'm having the same problem. It's strange because a while ago - about a year or more - the cars would stay saved in the parking spot in front of Niko's crib without any issues. Now, every time I load the game, the car parked in the yellow slot is gone. I've tried various tips, but nothing seems to work.

i remember having this same issue when playing through the game a year or two ago. only certain apartments would actually keep my vehicles

i think for most parking spots, they can only handle 1 car at a time and will just delete everything if you place more. sometimes npcs can crash and move your car out, its stupid.

I'm replaying this for the first time since the 360 days and only once in 15 hours have I had a car save and that was at the original apartment. Never had this back in the day on console. Not a huge issue but I wonder what the cause is?

Yeah, I did give up about it last year... Really busy right now, but I'll probably get a steam deck soon, try to make it work as intended and finish this play through.

If anyone discovers a fix, let us know =)

It'd be really telling is also this one was an FPS-issue -- but reports of it have been floating about literally since the game's release on PC in 2008 so I doubt it. I remember having the issue on one playthrough and deciding not to care; I mean, it's not like it's hard to in this game just swipe another car...

If two cars are touching one or more may disappear. Do not use autosave.

Just finished a playthrough on Xbox 360 and while the stupid cabby would crash into whatever I had parked in front of my Algonquin safehouse and push it out of the parking space EVERY BLOODY TIME it never in fact disappeared once I put them back (every bloody time; I in fact let myself get dropped off a block away later in the game due to this...)
