a GTA 5 like hiding from the cops mod?

Is their a mod for GTA 4 where if you hide from the cops for a good long time, it will clear the wanted level or at least decay it? I'm not looking to disable it outright, it's just it's a hassle trying to escape the circle on the minimap. Especially when it grows to might as well be half of the map (unless theirs a way to edit that, i am a casual modder, but i don't know a great deal about gta 4 scripting asi files or what not).

The wanted system right now is good enough in my opinion.

You just escape the search radius and find some spot to hide until the pigs get bored. This is very easy to do if you change vehicles while out of sight

i'm just wondering cause escaping the circle is a giant hassle in that GTA 4, combined with other things i got to deal with, such as cars handling and the cumbersome on foot movement where in GTA 5, all you have to do is hide for a few seconds and bam. I know it's not realistic, but it's neither does cops not putting a bounty on your head.

I get it was a good idea at the time, but i just liked the other game's better cause it's not as a hassle to escape the law. Hell, Bully has the "hide from the law" system almost like GTA 5's, and that was before GTA 4.

It's disapointing still that nobody have thought about making a mod like that for GTA 4.

About 4 years later but the Arrest Warrant Mod adds this feature, but it adds a bunch of extra features like a permanent warrant if you get "ID" on a police chase, even with no wanted level you have a warrant level.

I forgive the 3 year bump. I should've clarified from the beginning that i'm not exactly looking for a realism mod like that, considering what i've said in that comment above about bounties was throwaway (though i thank you for your input none the less) but a mod that emulates exactly like how the Wanted level works in the base GTA 5, that being if you hide for long enough, regardless how close you are (because there is no radius circle in GTA 5) and as long you're not spotted, your wanted level disappears. And i've already found a mod a while ago that does exactly just that, called "GTA V to IV Package" , mainly the Vstyle.cs.

I will take a look at this mod when i get back into GTA 4 CE. (Fusing the games myself and making the 3 games playable with mods is a chore an a half, yet wholly fun when it works.)

lol even more sorry for the late reply, the mod I suggested does exactly that, you can input your own time so you can escape cops just by being on grey stars for long enough,If you don't like any of the other features, everything could be turned off.

I used that mod since it was the complete package for better cops in general.

vanilla cops are garbage.
