Save files gone after udpating the game.

Recently GTA IV was udpated, after trying to replay it all my save files were gone. I already beated all 3 stories but I would still like to know if someone knows a way to get back the save files.

How old were these save files? Are you talking games for windows live old? Do you have any achievements in steam unlocked for this game?

I bought and first played this game in May 2021. The Steam version and I did unlock some achivements of this game, in Steam and Rockstar Social Club they're still there, complete.

Happened to me as well. All files I had in the cloud just vanished. Last time I opened the game with my files still present was like a week before the update. If anybody has a solution, that would be great.

I was on completing DLC cuz ended only original campaign and after that update I lost my save too...

I suffer from this and the social club website has my isp blacklisted or something, so every 27 days or so(being generous probably more like every half year) I get a 2-3 day window to play this game before being put back on some blacklist(theory)

made the mistake of trying to play during this window, fresh start since this game has wiped my saves like 3 times now. now I wait again for 6 months. I am so beyond fed up and angry with rockstar. I would have bought and played RDR2 at this point and engaged way more with GTA5 but no, terrible company would prefer not to accept connections on a mass scale as some sad attempt at security.

rockstar's support system is probably the actual worst of any company I have ever dealt with also, so we are pretty SOL

I did some missions yesterday and made sure to save them. And now I launched the game and I have noticed that those saves are gone... and I have around 4 different saves with different titles displaying as the same date and precise time. That would be literally impossible. So now I have to go back and do all those damn missions that was hard to complete.
