Mod for improving gunfights in GTA 4.
I've been looking for a mod to improve On Foot handling, NOT vehicle handling. Compared to GTA 5, 4 makes gunfights really awkward. Trying to take cover often puts you behind the wrong object, making you open to getting killed, and often camera angles mean you can't shoot someone who appears to be in range. Even basic running around can be awkward, thanks to awkward camera controls.

Basically, are there any Mods that make the On Foot and combat handling more like GTA 5?

Many thanks.

The gunfight is terrible, so I totally agree. I'm trying to 100% finish mission objectives in TBOGT and many of those objectives require headshots and at least 70% accuracy.

Many times my shot ends up in the corner of an obstacle instead of hitting the heads of the targets even though the sight tells me that I am aiming correctly at the target, really frustrating and that makes achieving 100% achievement in missions in a hell of a pain in the ass.

Do you mean like the inertia? Like the transitions between animations or something? I think that's what you're saying.
Sadly I don't think there is any mods of that kind, except weapon handling but that's not what you meant.

I think i've been spoilt by GTA 5, and I need to get used to the gunfights in 4 again. It just seems far more of a slog to aim at people. There seems to be mods for car handling, but not for on foot. Anyway, never mind.

Lmao.

Also OP, don't use the cover system unless you want to blindfire. Just manually move & crouch.

PC shooting is broken in a sense that when you play with Keyboard & Mouse, the guns don't have any inaccuracy to them whatsoever. Look up FusionFix to fix that. Other than that, it's fine. 5 doesn't improve upon it at all. Press the camera button while aiming if you don't want your character covering the lower left half of the screen.

"Bruh, Just play with a controller"

Jokes aside, there are mods online that fix the biggest issue, the bullet spread. Unfortunately it requires an ASI loader and Script hook which are tools that make it possible to mod GTA 4 and even though it's possible to do it for GTAIV:CE, #1 you have to find the specific files for CE and #2 I recall it saying that the bullet spread mod was the mod that it didn't work with. Of course you could downgrade your game but that's something you're gonna have to look into on your own.

It's part of Fusion Fix, which works with CE.
