are DLCs worth playing ?

I enjoyed story and setting of the main game, however missions were very simple and boring...not to mention glitch in the last mission.
The question is: are missions in DLCs more varied than just drive to place X, kill some goons, rinse and repeat ?And are they glitched like Out Of Comission helicopter scene ?

Hell yeah they're worth playing, and there are no FPS dependent missions afaik.

All missions in both DLCs are completely different than the main game. Although the city is the same your characters in DLC Luis (Ballad of Gay Tony) and Johnny (Lost and the Damned) interact with Nico on a mission or two. You also have some different weapons at your disposal and the story line of both are excellent. Start with Gay Tony. Just the antics of the two goofball pals of Luis are entertainment in and of itself.
