What the Hell happened to the weapon wheel?

Title pretty much says it. MMB no longer opens up the weapon wheel, and the only way to change weapons on PC is to use the scroll wheel until you get what you want. Gawdamned clumsy.

Ummm you do realise that the numbers on the keyboard can choose a certain type of weapon right? This is by default:
1: Unarmed
2: Knife/Baseball Bat
3. Pistols
4. Shotguns
5. SMGs
6. Assault Rifles
7. Sniper Rifles
8. RPG
9. Grenades/Molotovs
You can change all of this in the options if you don't want your fingers to go too much to the right to get certain weapons. This is much better than the stupid weapon wheel and the useless weapons GTA V has.

It's entirely possible I'm confusing the HUD of this game with that of Grand Theft Auto V, in which case I wouldn't mind if someone were to inform me that I am mistaken and that this game never did have a weapon wheel.
