How do you find GTA 4 saves?
I have searched it up and many people say its in user/appdata/local/rockstargames/savegame but i cannot find it anywhere. I am also able to completely uninstall gta 4 files in my steam games folder and reinstall it and magically have the save appear even with cloud saves in social club turned off. If anyone can tell me the proper path that would be great.

Press the windows key and R and you’ll get the ’Run’ box, now type in %userprofile%, then go to documents\RockstarGames\GTAIV\Profiles\”UserID”\ and there you go. For the Complete Edition, they changed the save file path.

Yeah, i don’t think the new version/RGL version saves are compatible with the old versions, unlike the GFWL saves that are compatible with the new version. Since i tried to use my RGL save with 1.0.8.0 as well, but it didn’t work.

Maybe it is possible to convert them, but i don’t know since i don’t know of a tool that does that.

Yo, I found a save downgrader. I downgraded to 1.0.7.0 and apparently it doesnt affect Games For Windows Live or something like that. The website is https://gtasnp.com/upload and just upload your save and click download save (make sure to go to modifications and go to the downgrade section!) and just place the save. My heart is still racing right now.

For Linux Steam Deck users here is the location Could you try to add it ontop for any linux user
/home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/12210/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA IV/Profiles/
paste the new save file after the folder for profiles
