Can't continue the main story

I have literally no story missions in my map. The most recent mission was "That special someone" and after that I didn't receive any other mission.

Is it a bug? Is there a way to fix it? Can I trigger missions somehow?

Try resting in the bed to save the game. The bed will advance time several hours, so that might help.

have you diamonds is a girls best friend too? i think youre supposed to call the mob daughter contact in your phone afterwards, you can also try waiting in game by saving

Yes, the mission you are talking about should be called "I'll take her" in which you kidnap the girl, and I completed it.
I'm not sure about the "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" though. Is it a mission not shown on the map?

ok so after doing ill take her, you have to also do late checkout and photo shoot

late checkout is given by ray and its the one where you go shoot up the hotel and then photo shoot is the one where you take a photo of a guy for playboy and kill him

The problem is that I have no missions. Unless those are invisible in the map or they need something specific to be unlocked.

I have the "Ransom" icon in which I take a pic of Gracie and send it to Patrick, and I did it but nothing happens after that.

did ray call you after that? also, which patch are you playing on and are you using any mods? some missions only start during a certain time so just keep playing and youll get a call for the next one

if that doesnt work, feel free to share your game save so i can see if i can duplicate the issue

After that Niko automatically called Patrick but the call ended on its own. I might retry that later with a previous save, maybe I can listen to the call.

I'm playing on the latest update and I don't have any mods.
I know that some missions start at different times, but you are supposed to get the icon on your map anyway right?

I don't know how to shars the save. What is it about?

yeah, patrick is supposed to call you and i noticed during my playthrough that if a call hangs up either because of my fault, like getting hit by a car or something, or because it just does, the call will occur again, so that might be necessary for the story to progress

you can share your game saves through a file hosting site like google drive, i think the directory is either

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Savegames\

or

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Profiles\

the folder might be hidden so click show hidden files folders and drives in the advanced settings in the view tab

I tried that again and Niko ended the call again before Patrick could even respond. I'm gonna share the save so you can see how bad it is.

So following this path C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Profiles\ in the profile folder there's a folder called F26D0CBE that has inside the following files:

-501C4FD0.dat
-cloudsavedata.dat
-ControlMap.dat
-ProfileSettings
-SGTA400
-SGTA412

Do I have to share them all or just cloudsavedata.dat?

ok so i was able to duplicate the problem, i noticed that gracie doesnt make a sound when you hit her and the guy in the room doesnt greet you/say something when you leave so thats definitely not normal

did you use simple native trainer? or any trainer for that matter? based on what ive googled, the issue seems to be caused by tinkering with the phone sleep mode setting and it can be fixed by toggling it off and on in said trainer

i did suspect for a bit that you used a trainer when i saw how much money you had, i dont remember having half a million before doing the final mission, but then again i didnt do any extra missions so idk

ill go ahead and see if using a trainer can fix it

What's a trainer?
I made those money just by doing all the missions. I spent them just for ammo or rarely for clothes when the mission required the suit.

Edit: alright just googled it. I didn't use any kind of cheat or mods. Not even the in-game cheats to spawn vehicles or whatever. I just played the game normally.
I just played all the missions up to that point except for the "assassination" one.

The only thing I did to my phone was at the start of the game and I just turned on the vibration.

unfortunately i couldnt pin point why your particular save doesnt wanna progress, it could be that you produced a bug that hasnt been discovered before

perhaps your save was corrupted through the ol' exiting while the little thing that spins was on your screen, idk

well bummer either way, on the bright side you can grab a save from this site [www.gtavision.com] to continue on but because you progressed the way you did, or maybe because whoever uploaded the saves progressed the way they did, youll have to redo several missions

the save youre looking for would be ill take her part 2, but if you wanna skip ransom, then download catch the wave and thatll let you do gerrys missions you havent done yet
