It always showed a blackscreen when trying to load or start a new game.
All of the sudden it was working yesterday.
Today not anymore.
Btw: I upgraded my system this week (Board, CPU, RAM). Nothing changed for GTA IV. Something is really fckd up.
The old DVD Version is running flawlessly.
apart from a still horrible performance in certain situations, like at night with many lights and shadows it drops below 60fps for me and even to 40fps but i've at least completely maxed out the game, this version works flawlessly and includes everything.
its still a fantastic game, playing through it a 4th time now but first for this steam version as i just purchased it in the summer sale (had the original retail version for both the main game and the dlcs before but haven't played through the game in like 10 years now)
dude, so the game was working flawlessly and then you upgraded your system with a new board, cpu and ram and now its not working and you blame the game ?!?
its 100% clear that it stopped working due to your system upgrade so search for the problem on your side first instead of blaming gta4 for it ;)
No, I had the same issues before the upgrade.
And like I said, the DVD Version worked before and on the upgraded system it's also working fine.
