My GTA IV save games are corrupted?

After playing the game a lot back in 2014, I decided to get back in and start from my last checkpoints (I had the game completed at 40%). I installed it, solved the problems with Social Club and Windows Games Live, copied the save game files into the right folder just to realise they dont work. Went back to the save game folder just to see this: http://oi67.tinypic.com/ayt0ds.jpg . Does this mean they are corrupted? I mean they were left untouched for about 1-2 years in one of my USB drives. Any way to get my save games back? Anything I can do at all?
Please help as soon as possible. Thanks.

I haven't seen anything like this. Usually when save games end up corrupt the file itself becomes unreadable to the game but shouldnt touch it.

Folder names should not be like the way they are.
Are you sure you didnt backup an old virus?

Edit: And no, if they appear not to be loading properly you'll have to start a new game completely

it's been 2 years, god knows what I did back then. I just backed them up on my USB, cheked them twice last year and they looked fine. Now they look like this.
