Brucie Mission Bug

After stealing Lyle's car and bringing it back to Brucie's, the garage door will close before Niko gets out. This has soft-locked my game 5 times in a row as I get stuck in the cutscene and can't seem to get out. Anybody got a solution to this?

or limit fps to 60 either by selecting 60Hz video mode and turning vertical sync on or by limiting fps using video card driver. for AMD there's a feature called Radeon Chill - turn on, adjust both sliders to 55-59 for GTA4 and it's done.

Sadly game has hard coded 30 FPS checks. I know that the end of the game is next to impossible to spam spacebar fast enough if you're over 30 FPS but the majority of the game is completely fine. Whenever you get "softlocked" or anything similar cap the FPS to 30 and then do it that way.

The pressing Enter worked! Skipping that part of the cutscene will force niko outside.

If you lock your frame-rate to 50 fps, the cut scene glitches seem to disappear.

Locking the FPS to 60 will give you a much better experience overall. Cutscenes will work properly, bikes will behave correctly and you'll get less bugs and the FPS drops will be less noticeable.
I used Rivatuner Statistics Server to lock my FPS.

Not really
Completede the campaign while using diffrent fps 30,60,144 none of them works better then the other.

I had the same problem. And pressing enter worked for me as well, thanks.

Only had to hit “Enter” key. Surprisingly easy workaround to skip the animation lock inside the garage lol
