That makes either the game sound so much better that In been deprived so much OR, that the fans are cancerous and toxic. Or could be both too, I suppose. GTA V has best map by far, best graphics, funniest characters, I am enjoying the hell out of the story so far except the stupid nuke stealing thing was way over the top but I found the characters all pretty believable and I especially like how waking up as Trevor you may be naked in a park or fighting some random guy you never knew, it's just so much fun playing as a tweaker and waking up being like "oh god, I am a meth addict, this is me, this is my life." It's one of the things sounds more funny interesting as the description than having to live the life.

Idk, I didn't play San Andreas at all, I think I barely played the first GTA, and I don't know anything about GTA 2. But I didn't play much into story on GTA III either nor Vice City, I thought Vice City was super fun on the PS2 though it's not aged so well, I guess it's not bad for being such an ancient af console game. But from what I hear, it sound like GTA IV just had really high production value and decided to be the Godfather of the series, instead taking itself as seriously as the theme music intro takes itself, as opposed to the borderline cartoonish element to other games.

I've begun getting curious about that, especially since ITT I can see some kids just have this nostalgia glasses on and the way people ♥♥♥♥ on GTA V makes me believe either that V really was a mediocre game and I'm just so used to playing crap it feels comparitively mind blowing to me from pure raw relativism, OR that the IV players have spectacularly godawful taste and nostalgia glasses and so much like Planescape not being played and unironically paying for CoD games instead, as Grimbeard would say "you just can't force gamers to play good videogames. Which is in other words much like why gamers still pay $800 for a 4060 despite nVidia being garbage three generations in a row but you just can't get them to use superior Radeon software for GPU overclocking.

Anyone who's literal first or second complaint or question about a game is modding has terrible taste in videogames, FACTS. Seriously I have never seen one single game or gamer that makes modding the ultimate thing be not wrong, not even once. The mod content is usually terrible and half the time it's the cringiest, literally autistic spectrum having, smoothbrain puerile crap imaginable replete with anime characters as to be expected. Usually the rest of the time it's basically just a series of bug fixes the developers themselves were too lazy or cheap to do, so it was the community itself having to unpaid take care of its own problems which makes me not want to pay those people for a game, and/or it's having to fix missing content. Which is basically tantamount to saying "this game sucks, it just pure flat out sucks as a basegame and is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's basically unplayable with out heavy modding and therefore you have no reason to play it when you can be playing any of several hundred gems out there that actually were and are complete games with an unbuggy wholistic experience straight out the box that'll be memorable for years, as opposed to this buggy garbage mess that's basically a boring tedious slog through mediocrity only salvaged to weeb halfwits by installing the lowest IQ bottom feeder content imaginable like anime characters."

GTA is like pizza and even bad pizza is still ok. That isnt going to stop people from comparing.

I recently played through and finished 4 because they added the achievements. I have always loved the GTA series, but i have to laugh when people say 4 has the best story or some extra special story aspect, that is a load of total BS.

An illegal immigrant takes up crime to get cousin out of trouble, ends up working way up ranks of crime organizations by killing nearly everyone that he works for. There was absolutely nothing special about the story in 4. There were no twists or turns and the only surprise at the wedding was telegraphed so hard you would have to be oblivious to not see it coming.
