So I have the Physical copy of GTA IV
I have the physical copy with 2 discs and it required games for windows live to work, I also have a serial number behind the manual book

Can I do something with this or it's just crap, and I need to buy the game again?

Same. Physical copy of GTA 4 with all episodes. It'd be cool if you can transfer it to steam, like WB did with arkham asylum/city back when they removed GFWL from it.

Did you guys downloaded the rockstar game launcher? Because there is an option in that, to scan installs on your pc. If you can install gta 4 maybe pick it up and added there. Just make sure you log in to the rockstar game launcher, with the same rockstar social club account.

I hope it will work for you.

Well, guess what, now you can activate your serial CD key through rockstar game launcher. Just tried it and it worked, under a "buy now" button there would be something like "already own the game" option, choose it and punch your serial number, one for GTA IV, not for episodes, worked for me.
