When I search GTA IV on Steam The Complete Edition pops up but then quickly disappears from the search results. Could it be unlisted and is being prepared to be released?

I just checked it. I was able to acces the store page of GTA4:CE

Same. Had to be very quick clicking on it but they've removed the release day so I'm hopeful it's being prepared.

It seems to me that this is normal. DDR2 was released on PC at 8:00 AM Pacific Time. If there is also GTA 4 Complete Edition, then less than 10 minutes are left.

They've added nothing at all to the rockstar launcher, not even an advert or pre-purchase option. I bet they handed this project to 1 guy and expected him to do everything with no resources, gonna be delayed I bet.

Support for GTA IV:CE was added to the Rockstar Launcher yesterday.

So is the game suppoused to land straight in to my game library ? I've installed GTA IV in hopes of playing but I still get the same error, social club menu pops up, i click play and the game turns off before it even started.

Just be patient, you should get the Complete Edition is a few hours.

I found an article about this. Turns out the game doesn't actually come out today, just updates to the games of existing owners. Everyone else can buy it March 24th.
