Alright, first you put in Disc 1 and run it. The game will ask a couple of questions. Just follow them and then when it asks for it, put in the second disc. Once that is done the game will launch the Rockstar Games Social Club (which is now outdated), so go to (2) on the list below. I would strongly advise getting GTA-IV on STEAM as the game has been optmized for modern machines. If you already have it on STEAM follow this:
(1) Do a fresh install of GTA-IV or ELFC (or both) unless you already have a fresh installation. This really only applies if the existing installation has become corrupted, been modified or seemingly won't work.
(2) Install http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=201134 - this patches the games so that the old Games For Windows Live (GFWL) login is upgraded so it now connects to the XBOX server which replaced it.
(3) When prompted for a login, you can choose to ignore or to create a new XBOX account. For example, I have a decade-old GFWL account and the server allowed me to login without any issues, but a lot of people have found that their GFWL login no longer works, so make a new XBOX one. Once you have patched GTA-IV, if you also have EFLC, it will automatically patch that too.
(4) Run the game you wish to play. Please be advised that after patching with the application I mentioned here the loading screens will be displayed, you will hear the GTA-IV theme tune wherein the screen will then go black for about one minute and then the Rockstar Games Social Club loading screen will appear.
(5) Set the options for the game, video, screen resolution, controls (if necessary) and then play.
NOTE: your save games and key binding data is in the following folder: C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames\user_<long number> - if you have several long numbers, just open the folders one by one until you find a file called ControlMap.dat and this is where GTA-IV, The Lost and Damned, and The Ballard of Gay Tony saves the game. NOT on some cloud - this is a ten year old game we're talking about here that existed long before there was a cloud so all saves are done locally.
when click the ,,GTA IV,, icon it starts...but the game whants a Xbox account and made one...then i start the game again and...There was error called ,,GTA IV Fatal error,, i cant. Thanks for the support but it was not realy helpful. But thanks :)

Well. If you bought it on Steam, click install, click next. Wait a little, click finish.
Wait.
And et voila. The game is installed.
If you have a retail copy (DVD, like I did back in the day)
Insert disk 1 into the disk drive. (joke note: Dont shove your penis into it, thats not disk 1.)
Then if you have auto-run on, it will ask you to open it and blablabla.
If auto-run dosent turn up, go into my PC and click on GTA IV/4
Then just follow the instructions, its been a year since I installed it so I dont remember. (note you will go through alot of issues, that disk is old af)
Then you should have an icon on your desktop, I recommend updating the game to the latest patch.
And there ya go, you have it.
And if you have a pirated game (pirate bay)
go shove a finger up your anus and keep it there for a day (I have a issue with piracy for some reason, forgive me please :( )
