Only 1.0.7.0 can be patched it appears
I've already done GTA IV, but there are missions there that are very difficult!
And you can't even fuss a bit in the city, when you get 6 police stars, you can't escape!
I wanted to put at least one mod menu to make it a little easier.
But I already tried by mod menu 3x, and in 3x gave problem.
Missions can be challenging, sure. Where's the fun if it was not?
Don't let it go to six stars...? It's not that complicated.
Just play the game. If you want to fly, be Iron-Man or stuff like that, use mods or whatever. But, the last reason should be 'it's so difficult', because it's not. LOL
But the goal is not that!
I use mods in GTA V and I use a mod menu there too, and I thought it would be easy to put mods in GTA IV, but it seems that the game just doesn't accept mods.
And man, the reasons why I want to put the mod menu, is not the focus, but knowing why the game simply does not accept the mods.
My game it just doesn't open, even following the installation professors correctly.
Mod compatibility
Mods that you install, must be compatible with the version of the game you are running.
Check a mod's compatibility before use.
Install patch 7 here: https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/200145406/Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese
Once you click on the link, select your language, open the .zip folder, then extract the files from the .zip into a folder (I put mine in documents), then run "UpdateTitle.exe", and from there it should update.
Please inform me if you have any issues with installing patch 7. Hope this helps! :)
(Just as a general advise, to anyone.)
