You likely run into more GTA IV fans than the 5th because this forum is dedicated to GTA IV
While on the GTA V forum you'll likely meet people who like V more than IV.
It depends who you ask.
Biggest difference between the two is multiplayer aspects.
V has much much more stuff to do, even missions having its own story
while GTA IV is mainly focused on gamemodes that have no further impact on your character you have made.
It's a more arcade felt in GTA IV where V tries to be competitive.
That's my point of view anyway
There are different weapons in EFLC and different added content to them like parachutes, gun vans that can be called and such, all depending on what you are going to play; TLAD or TBOGT.
Apart from that, I would suggest getting the complete edition (IV and EFLC) when it's on sale. All three games have their own charm to them and you'll have more hours of single player fun available to you from the get-go.
Did not pay much attention to the title I guess.
Same goes for EFLC as V but less expansive.
Different weapons, some other game modes to spice things up but that's to expect after GTA IV.
