Since you have 6GB and I don't know for sure which game version you are using, confirm that you even need the command.
The latest version does not require a commandline for over 2GB graphics cards
-norestrictions -nomemrestrict
After you type that in the game will let you change your settings to what ever you want even if u dont have the "Vram" shown. After you change ur settings and cross the "max cap" it will change to the right number.
Reason why It shows 3 for me is because I am using one other command like
-availablevidmem (how much v-ram you want to allow the game)
https://puu.sh/BAXKX/3328091171.txt
this you put in the gta iv directory in a text document called ''commandline.txt''
even if you have steam version i recommend doing it this way.
Good Luck
How long have you waited, the game takes ages for me to load, sometimes 1-2 mins I dont know why but that is how it goes.
