GTA 4, ultra settings, graphics issue HELP

Running on ultra, awful pop in, incredibly jagged edges and flickering textures, don't forget the pixelated trees!

I enabled AA and FXAA in Nvidia control panel, no success.

Keep in mind that this game is terribly optimized. It's also getting older and support has ended quite some time ago.

What do you mean

Well if you start up the game and go into the options. for example is your graphics card showing that amount of Vram you have properly?

Like it shows 2GB instead of a bugged 150 mb or other ludicrous low amount of vram

it had 1607, whilst my vram is 3000

create a text file commandline.txt in the gta iv folder and write this:

-nomemrestrict
-norestrictions

alternatively use,
-percentvidmem 100
-availablevidmem 2.0
(2.0 is a multiplier for the amount of vram being used i.e if 1600 was available for the game it will now have 3200 available)

or you can use all 4 commands no problem
you can also type these in the advanced launch options

fyi 1607mb is overkill for iv, but maybe if you force the game to utilize the video card more some problems will be fixed

got the latest patch, broke the game

you need install lastest patch 1.0.8.0 (2016) and use Ghapich Mod "icenhancer 3.0". it is perfect!
