GTA 4 with controller?

So I've always played this game with a keyboard and mouse, which sucks


I have a wired USB controller - it's a xbox360 controller , but it's a generic version of an xbox360 controller. Like, not name brand. I think it's something like Easy SMX

I can't play GTA 4 with it, it won't work.

I've loaded up the game with an offline profile, and I went to controls and controller configuration and nothing works.

Did you try to install the drivers for the Xbox 360 controller within Windows itself (via Device Manager)?

None of this makes any sense to me :l

I bought this controller used, it didnt have a disc with it.

I have downloaded the accessories file for the XBOX 360 wired controller, the drivers off of the microsoft site......... but nothing changes :/

The video shows you have to do more than that. Half the work, half the result.

Plus, you haven't answered this at all:

It works perfectly with everything else, idk why it's not with GTA 4
