This thing is so good, that people (me included) close eyes on pathetic performance and other issues.
The story is engaging, the AI has improved but by modern standards a bit janky
For many it's a buttload of nostalgia and want to keep the game running in it's full glory.
And rightfully so.
I'm sorry you feel the way you do about this game.
But many will tell you it's a masterpiece before newer games came along and became lackluster and full of features like in V that no one asked for.
People who played GTA IV and went over V were mostly outright disappointed.
Cars that felt like they were made out of plastic.
Normal family cars and even buses that were capable of making turns as if it's a japanese sports car
The immense amount of grinding, microtransactions that screamed bull-crap to speed things up to even get anywhere ruined it for a lot of people.
GTA IV is more there for those who need the nostalgia :)
And plenty still have a lot of fun in a game that is still considered to be one of the main pillars in gaming history.
Even on the PC, a notoriously bad port, people didn't care.
The game ran and is playable above 30 fps where the input lag disappeared.
And everyone loved it.
Complaints were there, like any other game but we were not complaining like it's 2018... whoops.
Gta 5 however was brilliant in almost all aspects. It was a sad moment to end that one.
Playing games for story, eh? : )
I heared that books have good stories.
dude wtf? the graphics are TRASH, and its 360 u cant "max out graphics" on a console lmao. maybe pc graphics is good but on console its just trash.
oblivion came out 2 years before and IT was the best open experience, i admit though i prefer the fantasy type open world a lot more but the graphics were objectively better. also gta's control were sluggish af, i had insane trouble aiming without autoaim (and i was very decent at cod at the time), the driving was terrible way too sluggish. the story didn't appeal to me that's a subjective thing though, i dont like gang stories (except for the legendary scarface ofc).
the whole game just felt like a black & white movie made in the 1920s.
omfg the driving almost made me through my controller at the tv 100 times. i kept failing missions cuz of the driving. lucky i have good self control.
Because you remember it from years ago. The PC port is so much better and graphics, bugs, anything can be fixed with mods. This fourm is for discusson for the PC version. Go shitpost somewhere else.
GTA 5 is one giant, dumbed down mess, filled with a crap ton of piss poor design decisions.
San Andreas and 4 are much, much better games than 5 in pretty much every way, story, driving, side activities, characters, combat, AI, etc...
I'm pretty sure you're trolling. And not even that well, I might add. You are complaining to PC users that consoles back in 2008 had crappy graphics and lousy controls. We already know consoles suck. Obviously a PC game from 2014 is going to make a 2008 console game look godawful.
If you don't like gang stories a crime simulator might be a bad choice of game. And you might be the only one to think Watchdogs was great, btw. But to each their own.
