GTA IV doesn't launch with Nvidia GPU and only works with integrated graphics
someone plz help me!

I bought GTA IV complete edition a few days ago just for Renewing memory and having some fun. but it doesn't launch and it freezes on the first black page. first I tought it's because of GFWL and so I updated it, then I tried every solution in internet and youtube, and didn't work, at last I change my GPU in Nvidia control panel from Nvidia processor to integrated (for me means from 4GB Geforce 960m to Intel 530, I have ASUS N552vw) and the game launched! but in a damn low graphic! and I have only 512 MB for video memory that must be my integrated GPU.
now:
I read a post from a guy who said:"GTA IV has problems with detecting video memory over 2GB automatically" ==> http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1272978992

so I have to notice that I tried every bloody solutions like creating a damn commandline with some commands and whatever you think...

nothing worked for me in this case. so please help me and share your idias with me. tnx.

Take a look at this thread, there might be a solution there:
Anybody knows the solution of recognization of dual GPU?

(BTW: the commandlines might very well be useless for your situation, the guide is not for your specific problem. The proposed commandlines are quite obsolete with the latest version of this game, anyway.)

1. DISABLE or REMOVE all but 1 card
2. make a txt file as ive mentioned
this will include unlocking gpus with more than 2gb ram
and lock the cpu to 1 core

reason it wont start is simple
NO support for SLI or XFIRE or dual anything
no dual core cpu no anything

so you can try using steam command line or do it the way it works

adding many things but to start REMOVE DUAL CARDS and or DISABLE SLI
GET OLDER DRIVERS ALSO, new drivers wont work here
and if you are on win 10 best of luck playing any older games like this

If you are using Steam, please try:

Properties of game>Launch Options>Add: -nomemrestrict -norestrictions

Create a text file named ‘commandline.txt’ in the main GTAIV folder and put the following statement inside it:

-availablevidmem 2.0

If that doesn't work, try increasing the number to one of the following.

-availablevidmem 3.0

-availablevidmem 4.0

-availablevidmem 5.0

-availablevidmem 6.0

etc.

and even when you get the game to work, it wont let you change most settings and or will burp out on ya

happy gamin lemme know if something worked.
my txt file again was 2 pages long not just 2-3 commands.
