GTA IV Won't Start Up
I got GTAIV to work and played it for 8 hours, but then I downloaded Episodes of Liberty City and that wouldn't open so I tried downloading an Xlive.dll file and copy and pasting it into the game after I tried to run it as an administrator and it said something how there was no Xlive.dll, so then I downloaded a xlive.dll file off the internet, extracted it, and copy and pasted it into the the files, then it wouldn't start up again. So I tried to run it as admin again and it said The ordinal 5372 could not be located in the dynamic like library C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV Episodes of Liberty City\GTA IV EOLC/EpisodesofLibertyCity.exe. So then I tried downloading new game driver and that didn't work so I gave up and uninstalled it. Then I decided to play GTA 4 and it wouldn't start up so I copy and pasted the xlive.dll file and didn't work so then I tried running as admin and it gave me the same "The ordinal 5372 could not be located in dynamic link library" ♥♥♥♥

Is there a way I can upload my screenshots so you can see my files?
in the Local files tab find the click to verify integrity of game files. Just rightclick gta4 in your steam library and find this in proporties.

Then go to the pinned topic at the top of gta4's General Discussions to download the updated Xlive.

Open the folder where Gta4 is placed on your computer. this can be found with steam by rightclicking the game in your libary and clicking open file location in properties. Find the file GTA4IV.exe and right click it to get into properties. (somtimes you have to load this twice over to get to the compaibility tab) once you are here look for the disable fullscreen optimizations click box and have it checked and apply the settings.

Run the game in windows vista Service Pack 2.

Somthing else you can try is going into your nevida control panal and manage your 3D settings

Click the program settings tab and find GTA4 and slect a preferred processer.
Use your High-peformance NVIDIA Processor. Apply the settings.

Also make sure you have updated Drivers with GeForce Experience
