Gun Shot Crash

So. I get to a mission. It's where you get your first gun. I blow the first jamaican guy's brains out. Game freezes. Still image of me aiming gun at jamaican guy's head while his head has blood and brains coming out. Stays for a minute. Crashes. Is rockstar trying to tell me something?

Need fix. Any thing I missed?

Theire is so much people who alter their game that we don't know if what gonna say to help gonna work, you need to told us what GTAIV you are talking of, because the hackers/moders/cheaters squad the general discution...

What I strongly recommand you is to be sure you have not install anything else that is not in the installaion of the game, and if you are in a different country, check for the latest updates on Rockstar Support.

Nope. It's far from superb with its co-ckups it had, screwing over players alot more than we'd like to admit.

Even when the game works there are alot of issues. Missions that dont start when the client exceeds 30 fps. Lag spikes that result in disconnecting from multiplayer because the game is running too slowly. Surely you're not this ignorant.

I never heard of these problems until I came back to this game just recently. Was it really that bad?

It's strange, I play this mission 5 times on differents computers I didn't got this problem, I must finish the solo, I didn't go far because I wait for a better PC but now I'm curious to see if have bugs too... so much players get thoses bugs, I think it's because they have new hardware and new operating system... so I'm really far with my Samsung RV720 laptop... at least I have no bugs...
Try to create a new game ( new save )

By the way, check for peoples profils and playing time on the GTAIV, some people on the GTAIV general discution don't like the game and didn't play it, they just messing about it I don't know why... And if you wanna play the regular GTAIV multiplayer LIVE, think about me, I'm looking for interessing people to play with, see ya !

Worked this time. But I mae the mistake of alt tabbing an it froze my computer to a black screen. Had to restart. Well, I guess I know what to avoid!

Using Alt+Tab is not recomanded while playing GTAIV, in multiplayer it's kick you on 5s, and in solo... you can have problems... so to be sure that you play correctly GTAIV, I reccomand even not using the steam overlay, the less the better.

Steam overlay does not affect the game itself. Only when you run the game on very low end pc's then it may have a little bit effect. The overlay is designed to have minimal to no impact on performance
