Apparently Steam gave me an invalid CD Key for GTA IV

So everytime I get to the steam activation screen it says "Activation process has been terminated

The SERIAL was not found in the database. Most likely the SERIAL has been entered incorrectly.

Press BACK to retry activating (please verify the correct input of the SERIAL) or press CANCEL to abort."

So I click "Activate manually"
It shows me
"An online activation cannot be performed. It is possible to perform an offline or manual activation.

In order to perform this operation, you will need the following information:

-Registration Code (Serial number)

-Unlock request code (displayed below).

With this information in hand, please visit our support site to generate the unlock code:

http://activate.rockstargames.com/

With the unlock code and serial (registration code) in hand, place them in the text boxes and click on the "Activate" button."

I enter my information on the site and it says "Serial invalid!
Make sure that you typed in your Serial correctly!"


I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO, I have tried to get steam support for the CD Key but that basically tells you to go do what the game publishers tell you to do, which is what they already have in the help option in steam anyways, and basically if that doesn't fix your problem to go punch sand with no option to get ACTUAL support, Please help if you have heard of this problem and know a solution I would love to play GTA IV it's a great game that I would love to play using the power of the PC, thanks in advance guy! <3

Here you go, me and a friend just found out how to fix this.

That just gives people your CD key not fix theirs mate
