GTA 4 Modding Fix

SO I've come up with a fix for gta 4 if you want to use your mods. Its pretty simple actually. here goes.

-Install Patch 8 from Rockstar
-Copy Paul.dll to a safe place, it needs a safe place (Just like our sad sad country)
-Download patch 7 from fapstar : https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406--May-28-2010-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-
-Use the UpdateTitle.exe file and let magic happen
-Copy over the Paul.dll from its safe place. Yes it can come out of its safe place...
-Start the game and praise me. You're f***ing welcome.

Quick question kinda unrelated, but still related in some ways. Does the mods that only changes textures and stuff like that with openIV still works? I mean, like mods that doesn't need the scripthook to function.

Textures only overwrite an existing file so you should be able to play with them single player and probably multiplayer as well without issues unless they use a script, tho you should make a backup of whatever file your gona replace just incase you never know.

YES! I finally did it after an entire day of absolute cancer ive managed to get all my mods back, ok so if you cant use Update Title.exe file or the TitleUpdate.msi you NEED to find an already extracted patch as in an uploaded rar that contains the Common,pc,movies folders and the rest of the files then you gota copy paste them on your gta 4 and if you have any mods (textures/pedestrians) make sure you copy paste the common and pc folder somewhere else then repaste them after u install the update. OP if you can upload your update files to any website youll be able to fix the problem people has with their buged update.exes.

You have no respect to other people's preferences and the way they want to play the game. Stop being such a elitist. And just so you know, unlike the console version, the PC version (when not using a controller) doesn't seem to have recoil/bullet spread during gunfights making your shots including blindfiring completely 100% accurate so this mod right here[www.gta4-mods.com] helps restore that.

I'm not advertising anything. I simply put out a fix for the game that allows people to do what they want with their legally purchased game.

Well, some people are wasting their time on a pointless ragefest......

Anyway... maybe I screwed up a step or perhaps my equipment is too new but after doing your fix the game kinda switches into safe mode and tells me my GPU is already at its limit and won't let me set the resoultion any higher than 800x600. I have a R9 290 and Windows 10.

I sure do hope the scripthook modder comes back from the GTA V grave to fix his DLL.... it might just be a simple fix too, I don't know.

Yep you need a command line. Or use the launch options in steam and use -norestrictions

Tried this for EFLC (update2_en), but it ends up with an error referring to a log. Then tried to do it with CMD but after the instal completes it just comes up with another error saying that LaunchEFLC couldnt be found. How can i do this with EFLC?
