GTA IV Won't start with DSOUND:DLL

I've recently started playing GTA IV again and as usual, i start modding like crazy. I started with Native Trainer 6.5 which wouldn't work if i didn't install asiloader aka dsound.dll. However, when dragging and dropping it the game wont start afterwards. It isn't a crash rather the game just refuse to open.
I have looked all over the web and running as administator didn't do any difference.
There was one guy who fixed it but as usual, he didn't write how.

If someone had the same issue and fixed it. Please share since i really don't wanna play gta without mods.

Did you figure out yet that you have to downgrade the game to 1.0.7.0?

Thanks! Had some more problems downgrading the game but it worked eventually. Hopefully i can mod now!

I Downloaded the files for the downgrade .... but ... in the installation it says that I need a Serial Key ..... I do not know what to do :(

Yeah I cant grab my key now from steam as it changed to GTAIV complete edition.

So I cant downgrade as it needs a key and idk how toget my key now.

I managed to get it to work on the most recent version by using a 64bit version of dsound.dll instead of a 32 bit version.

This probably isn’t much use now but you get it from GitHub Ultimate ASI Loader releases.

yeah this helped alot. https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader/releases is where you can get a x32 or x64 dsound.dll .
