GTA IV restarts PC
So i saw the patch and thought "finally, i can play it." Think again, because after 5 minutes of playing my PC restarts (your pc encountered an error and has to restart). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Well that's the first thing to try in case there's any missing files, thanks for the tip.

Your machine is very good for this game.
Pull up the event viewer and under application look for errors during the exact time when your computer restarted.
When you find errors, tell me here.
When a machine reboots like that it's usually something to do with a hardware failure of some sort.
Finding the error will point us in the right direction.

Thanks for the taking the time to help me. Found two critical errors (game restarted my pc twice). Says that the origin is "Kernel-Power"

Hello, So we have the same problems with this game. Maybe turn off xmp mode of RAM in BIOS will help?I have the latest version of gta 4 and after about 12 hours of playing (in total) I launched gta 8 times (in these 12 hours) and there was one kernel 41 error, i.e. computer shutdown and automatic reset. So far it has only happened once, we'll see how it goes next... My processor is amd ryzen 9 7900x, graphics card rtx 4090, 32 gb ram ddr5 - 6000mhz, windows 10 pro x64. The ram is in expo (XMP) mode. I used to have similar random events with every game but it was because the ram was not compatible with the motherboard manufacturer's ram list. Here it happened to me only in gta 4 when I play other games the computer works normally.
