New Season Makes Me Wish Older Seasons Got Rolled Into The Core Game
Not going to lie, I think the demon spirit season that just ended is probably going to be the best one I've experienced so far. I'm not saying that the new Star Link season is bad or anything, but I really like having minions that are both very strong, can revive you, and even give you buffs.

I know that the game lets you roll back to older seasons which is great, but I think it would be better if their mechanics were added to the core game, and you can still go back to older seasons for things such as getting unlocks you may have missed.

I would love to be able to play with a group of friends where I have a Demon Spirit, someone else is using the lotus from season 2, and a third person is running a Star Link.

+1, Would be nice to have ability to create coop lobby for old seasons. And ye, pets season was good.
season 3 got me addicted. season 4 for just 3 days playing and I lost interest.
+1. i would love to. can devs make it come true?

So long as it doesn't touch the "turning seasons off altogether" feature then sure.

Yeah this season is kinda dull, it's just building synergy like usual but cracked up. The demon companion season had stuff that went crazy in ways that wasn't just more dmg for getting the required scrolls/perks to activate.

I also really liked the level of customization. They had a ton of perks to choose from which you can mix and match to your liking.

The custom template in Star Link is nice, but by comparison, they're a lot more limited in variety.

If you mean that you want to have all the seasonal mechanics simultaneously... this game already suffers HEAVILY from power creep issue, and your suggestion will make this issue skyrocket at 100x pace. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

How?

I'm not suggesting you can run all season mechanics simultaneously. I'm suggesting that they all become available and you can pick one for your run.
I thought I was the only one, but now I see that I'm not... Season 3 is fun, every run you get new "pets" and you feel progress, however Season 4 seems to be a simple "now you have better attributes", I will surely complete season 4 100% and return to season 3

Although that user experience is shared by me, I'd praise the dev's effort on the UI in season 4.

Season 3's UI design and demonstrated nothing as substantial as season 4. Season 4 link menu is much more refined than season 3's affix menu

I enjoyed S3, but massive amount of pets and possible combinations of affixes and stats was sometimes making me very confused, spending long time to decide what to choose. In the first three seasons seasonal mechanics were getting more and more complex. After playing S3 i actually anticipated a season where they'll roll back a bit on the complexity aspect because it was getting a bit too overwhelming for me.

i can pick a season mechanic before i start my run and play that mechanic, or atleast i think thats how it works, i didnt play the se1-3 but i can pick one of them or pick regular play when starting a run

Yes, but if you want to play multiplayer with friends, you're all locked into one season. I'm suggesting that all season mechanics can be accessed and chosen. That way if I like season 3 while a friend likes season 2, we can choose them both and not be stuck with one or the other.

Except some effects of seasons affect everyone, and not always in a good way.

Someone plays season 3? Well now everyone has to fight demonized enemies, but non-S3 players just get useless eggs.

Someone plays season 2? Well now everyone must face off against dimension portals, except only players from S2 are effective against them thanks to mechanisms dealing extra damage to the portals.

Someone plays season 4? Everyone better enjoy getting pelted by rocks during boss fights. Unfortunately your reward for non-S4 players is useless scrolls and fancy looking owls to do nothing with.

I think that's all fine. Adds a little challenge and makes rooms feel more occupied even if you may personally not benefit from any of the mechanics you didn't choose for the run.

I mean, depending on how serious the balancing is with fighting dimension portals or demonized enemies, they could be tweaked to be a little easier to fight for those not utilizing their respective mechanics.
